There are 3 sections: Printed Books, Prints & Maps and Manuscripts. Mainly relating to the City but also London generally. Most items can be retrieved within 15 minutes but some require prior notice. No retrievals 12-2 Saturdays. ID may be required for some items. (Tel 020 7332 1868/1870)

The Prints & Maps section is open Monday to Friday 9.30-5pm and material is available from staff (Tel 020 7332 1839).

The Printed Books/Manuscripts section is open Monday to Saturday 9.30-5pm. Some books and records (including microfilms) are on open access. (Tel 020 7332 1863/1862)

Photocopying is restricted but digital photography may be possible. Ask staff for information on copying services.

Collage is an image database of 25,000 items from the Guildhall Library and Gallery.
