GLIAS was founded in 1968 to record relics of London's industrial history for museums, archives etc.
It also advises on the restoration and preservation of historic industrial buildings and machinery.
It publishes a bi-monthly newsletter to keep members in touch with events and arranges walks and lectures.GLIAS members have a range of interests and skills. They contribute to the society through their support of events and many produce and assist with articles for publication. Further details are available on the society's website.
