The National Gardens Scheme organises open gardens, most privately owned, for charity. Generally Sundays but some evenings or by arrangement. Plants and refreshments are sometimes on sale.
Details are listed in 'yellow books' available for local areas in libraries and Visitor Information Centres. A book covering the whole country should be on sale in bookshops.
